1. Remove cover on crankcase.
Installation: Ensure that the cover is seated correctly.
2. Remove bolts of torque converter from driven plate. Continue turning the engine in the direction of engine rotation using socket or counter holder on the crankshaft. If the crankshaft is not accessible, continue turning the engine using a wide screwdriver on the torque converter.
Installation: Before installing the transmission, align the tapped holes of the torque converter and holes in the drive plate.
